APTA NE 2022 Annual Conference & Business Meeting

EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION DEADLINE is March 28! Register now to save!

The annual conference and business meeting are scheduled for Saturday, April 9th at UNMC’s Truhlsen Campus Events Center. Courses will be offered both in-person and virtually. The Reception & Awards Ceremony will be held Friday evening, April 8th in Lincoln to celebrate APTA-NE’s accomplishments over the past year, recognize award recipients, network, and enjoy some food and drinks.

Dr. Campbell is the current President of the Academy of Cardiovascular & Pulmonary Physical Therapy and a graduate of Creighton University’s first DPT class in 1996.

This course will include a full day of interactive work using VR technology and case studies so that the participant can utilize what they learned the following Monday.

Evidence Based Resistance Training for the Older Adult withWendy Anemaet, PT, DPT, PhD, GCS

Wendy has AGAIN agreed to teach exercise prescription for the older adult. She was scheduled to present in 2019 before we had to cancel the conference due to the pandemic. This interactive course will highlight best practices and easy implementation measures for creating an optimal exercise prescription for the geriatric population. She will utilize case studies, problem-based learning, and hands on skill techniques to improve your ability to prescribe exercise for older adults.

Dr. Severin will discuss patient management in multiple treatment settings (outpatient, inpatient, acute care, home health) and best practices for managing the emotional, physical, and mental side effects our patients experience.

They will cover the must haves and tips and tricks for conducting an evaluation and treatment of patients in orthopedic, neurologic, and geriatrics. They will also guide you in building report, documentation, and how to keep clients motivated and participative in the telehealth setting.
