Dear Colleague:
Greetings from your Nebraska Foundation for Physical Therapy Board members! Did you know that the Nebraska Physical Therapy Association (NPTA) has 1,477 members? Those members include physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and students from across the state. The Nebraska Foundation for Physical Therapy is a separate entity that works to support the NPTA by extending research into the community and building a greater presence of physical therapy practice by Nebraska chapter members.
How can you help us accomplish our shared goals in advancing clinical research and practice for physical therapy? Since 1992, over half of our members have donated to support the Nebraska Foundation for Physical Therapy in providing 24 Scientific Dissemination Awards and 9 George Blanton Research Grants to NPTA members, while also financially supporting 5 PT and PTA programs in the state with funds for equipment and upgrades. We are looking at increasing our fundraising efforts to broaden our scope of donations.
Your contribution supports the mission of the Foundation to foster and promote the advancement of the physical therapy profession. Individuals, vendors or organizations donating over $500.00 (increments or lump sum) to the Foundation are recognized as a Wayne Perdue Fellow, an honor awarded annually at our spring meeting. These professionals will receive public recognition at our business meeting, as well as recognition in our newsletter. We have almost 100 Wayne Perdue Fellows. You can monitor your progress toward achieving this recognition by contacting Foundation Treasurer Duane Wade at [email protected] or (402) 817-1750.
You can contribute online or utilize this form and mail your donation. We are proud of our Chapters’ support of research. Your role is vital.
With many thanks,
The Nebraska Foundation for Physical Therapy
P.S. Remember, your donation will have a far-reaching and lasting impact given the number of members in the state.
